Very busy week: little time to take photos or enjoy blog life.
This message shocked me this morning. Freshly applied to a bank agency window.
It reads: peep show
Now everyone is talking about this new peep show, close to the railway station, it seems. The entrepreneur is well known: an ex football coach turned ‘business man’.
If this message contains a grain of truth I hope they shut the place down real soon.
As far as I’m concerned they can shut it down anyway. If you look at earlier postings in this blog you will see that
I love women and will do my best not to contribute to their exploitation.
I love the Chatelet Les Halles area. Nope, not for the shopping opportunities, but for the great sites and architecture. So close to the cité, the Seine, the town hall, the centre Pompidou, the royal palace, the Louvre, and in this picture the Eglise de Saint Eustache, in its beautiful park setting.
Unfortunately some scaffolding erected around the church, that is why I added a lot of trees on the right side. Added in the composition, I didn’t actually stick any trees on the photograph. I wondered a long time if I shouldn’t replace the burnt in sky, but decided against this. Somehow in this case I seem to think that the white sky adds to the mystery of the impressive edifice.
Perculiar effect in this photo.
It was sunny all day in Paris yesterday. And then about 4 PM a real storm raged over Paris. It rained cats and dogs, terrible wind. And then at about 5:30 PM the sun came out again. So what you see here are the remaining heavily laden storm clouds, but surrounded by the bright light of a descending sun. This photo was taken around 8 PM. Near Les Halles.
